AZPC Leadership Scholarship

Administered by the Arizona Professional Chapter of AISES (AzPC), the AzPC Leadership Scholarship is made available to American Indian Students who reside in the State of Arizona.
The scholarship is awarded by the AzPC of AISES based on need, available scholarship funds, and the following criteria.
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria. Incomplete applications will not receive consideration.
CRITERIA:
1. Must be a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited two or four year college/university, high school student, or middle school student.
2. Must reside in the state of Arizona.
3. Must be a member of a federally recognized American Indian Tribe or otherwise considered to be an American Indian by Tribe with which affiliation is claimed or is at least 1/4 American Indian blood; or is at least 1/4 Alaskan Native; or considered to be an Alaskan Native by an Alaskan Native group by which affiliation is claimed.
4. Applicant must prepare a written proposal which defines their need for the scholarship, importance of the scholarship funds requested, event or purpose which the scholarship will be used, and budget which funds will be used for.
5. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States of America.
6. After the event for which funds were requested, applicant must send to the AZPC of AISES, a written account of their event.

Applicants need to submit an application form; a proposal that includes: a 500-word essay, a detailed budget, reasons for the request, a description of the applicant's career aspirations, an evaluation of past scholastic performance; a description of involvement and commitment to tribal community life; proof of tribal enrollment; a letter of recommendation; and a resume.
Notification of award will be made on a timely basis in accordance with each scholarship request. Amount of scholarship is at the sole discretion of the AzPC of AISES.
